Personal Information collected on this website may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Vertos Medical or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using this website, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.

Google Analytics: Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how our customers interact with the website. Google Analytics collects Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, which are used to provide the analytic services and to identify from which country, state, or city visitors to our website arrive. Google Analytics mainly relies on cookies to retain your information in persistent storage. Google Analytics transmits the information it obtains to Google, which stores it on its servers in the United States or around the world. Google will use this information for analyzing your use of our website, generating reports on website activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. We obtain data about the website from which visitors come to our website, which pages visitors visit, and how often and for what duration visitors visit particular pages on our website. Google may transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

When you use Google, you are subject to Google’s privacy policy, a link to which is provided below.

Social Media

Currently, we use certain social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, and we may provide links to these sites on our website. We may also provide information, marketing information, advertisements, videos, user-generated content, and other links on these social media sites that link back to our website. We do not control the providers of any of these social media sites, and their use of your Personal Information, and other information that these social media sites obtain when you access or use them, is subject to the privacy policies of these social media sites. We provide information about how we use social media and links to the privacy policies of the third party services that we use for social media below.

Third Party Services

We may share certain information, including Personal Information, that we collect about you with our service providers who perform functions on our behalf. These service providers may collect information based upon your use of our website. These providers perform such functions as hosting our web servers, analyzing data, providing development and IT and telecommunication support, providing social media services, and providing advertising services, marketing assistance and customer service.  If you request information from us, including information about doctors certified to use our products or services, we may share that information with medical providers, including Personal Information, if you provide us with your consent to share such information, to the extent allowed under applicable law. We may also share information about you that typically does not personally identify you but is aggregated with information from other customers. This aggregated information may include data about the number of visitors and the number of requests that we have received from the geographic area in which you are located.  Depending on the size of your geographical location, our customers could analyze this information to identify you personally by combining the information that they receive from us with publicly available information, such as information in telephone directories, or other information that they already have about you. In most cases, except as required under applicable law, we do not have control over the data privacy practices of these third parties, and the use of any Personal Information and other data is governed by their privacy policies, which may be updated from time to time.

Our third party social media and advertising providers may place or recognize cookies, pixel tags, web beacons or other technology to track certain information about our website users, including when you visit their sites or services. For example, in the course of serving certain advertisements, an advertiser may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser in order to collect certain information about your use of the service. An advertiser or ad server may also be able to collect your device’s unique identifier in the course of serving an ad. In many cases, this information could be used to show you ads on other websites based on your interests.

Our service providers include:

  • Facebook, Inc. (Privacy Policy; Update; Opt Out; Manage Your Privacy). We use Facebook for marketing, advertising, and social media services, and we share the content that you post on our Facebook page, with Facebook as well as certain other information.  We and Facebook may obtain cookie and usage data when you visit our pages on the Facebook site or using its app. In some cases, Facebook may receive this information when you visit our site on Facebook or on our Website if you have a Facebook account, use Facebook products, including Facebook’s website or app (or Instagram’s website or app), or visit certain portions of our website. We may share with Facebook, and Facebook may directly obtain from you, information about your device, visits to our website or the pages we publish on Facebook, the ads you see, and how you use our services. We may also share certain Personal Information with Facebook, such as your email address, so that we can reach people in similar demographics. We may provide Facebook with lists of email addresses, phone numbers, or names, including yours if you have provided it to us, to Facebook in a hashed form. Hashing the data that we upload to Facebook converts that data into short “fingerprints” that cannot be reversed. Once the hashed data is uploaded, Facebook matches the data against data that Facebook has to target advertisements and sponsored postings to users similar to the ones in our list and deletes the hashed data. Certain of our pages have Facebook pixels on them, which tracks certain actions that you take on our Website. This allows us to create custom audiences to target advertisements and sponsored content to Facebook (and Instagram) users in their feeds if they match certain criteria that we define. It also allows us to track the behavior of users once they have seen an ad of ours on Facebook and to help us understand our markets and the effectiveness of our advertising. The data collected is anonymous to us. Facebook, however, stores and processes the data, and it is possible for them to connect your visits to Facebook and your profile with them. Facebook may use the data it collects about you for its own advertising purposes. When you visit a site or app that uses Facebook’s services, Facebook receives information even if you have logged out or do not have a Facebook or Instagram account.
  • Google, LLC. (Privacy Policy; Product Privacy; Opt-Out). We use Google AdWords and Google Analytics for marketing, advertising, analytics, and detection of misuse of our website, as described above. For information on how Google uses information it obtains from us, please click here. We use remarketing to advertise across websites.  Because we use Google AdWords, Google will show ads across websites that you visit that are targeted to you based on your past visits to our website by using cookies. You can opt out of remarketing by vising Google’s Ad Settings Opt-Out. Google places and uses cookies and other technologies for a number of purposes, such as to prevent you from seeing the same ad numerous times, to detect and stop click fraud, and to show ads that are likely to be more relevant. Google receives and logs your web requests, IP addresses, browser types, browser languages, and the dates and times of your requests. It may also set and access one or more cookies that in some instances uniquely identify your browser. If you visit a page or see an ad that uses AdWords or Google Analytics, either on Google services or on other sites and apps, various cookies may be sent to your browser. Google may also use other technologies for similar purposes. We describe our use of Google Analytics in more detail above. We also provide videos on YouTube for marketing and informational purposes. When you view videos on YouTube, Google collects information about the apps, browsers, and devices you use. Google may store a cookie on your device. If you are logged into YouTube, Google can associate your browsing behavior with you personally. Google also collects information about your activity on YouTube.
  • Instagram(Privacy Policy; Opt-Out). We use Instagram, a photo and video-sharing social network. Instagram is owned by Facebook, and the way that we share your data with Facebook is described above. We use Instagram to post information about our products, including temporary stories. If you have an Instagram account, Instagram can link your activity on our Instagram page with your user profile. We may use ‘Instagram Insights’, which allows us to obtain statistical data about visitors to posts and stories on our Instagram pages. We use this information for marketing and to learn about our users and how they interact with our content. Instagram provides us with statistics about specific posts and stories. Instagram also collects certain demographic and location data in order to provide targeted advertisements. Instagram may track your data, including Personal Information, across devices. The data Instagram collects is anonymous to us, and we cannot link you to your activities on our Instagram pages unless you post identifying information. Information about Instagram Insights is available here. Further information on the data collected and used by Instagram, your rights and privacy can be found in Instagram’s privacy policy located at We do not control Instagram, and Instagram’s use of your Personal Information is subject to Facebook’s privacy policy for Instagram.
  • LinkedIn (Privacy Policy; Opt Out). We use LinkedIn to market, advertise, and allow our prospective customers and customers to share certain entries on our website with others on their LinkedIn accounts.  LinkedIn receives information about your visits to our pages on LinkedIn or visit certain pages on our website if those pages have LinkedIn plug-ins, ads, cookies, tracking pixels (transparent graphic images) or similar technologies. We receive information about you if you click on an advertisement on LinkedIn’s website or app, and we may be able to personally identify you based on Personal Information or other data that we collect from you with LinkedIn’s cookies or similar technology. We also create certain target criteria for identifying target audiences who might benefit from learning more about our products. We work with LinkedIn so that they provide Sponsored Updates and advertisements about our products to your LinkedIn feed if you are a member of LinkedIn. We put certain LinkedIn tags, which are small pieces of code, on our Website that allows us to track how effective our LinkedIn advertising and marketing is by measuring clicks, impressions, or conversions. We also may send InMails to you if you are a member of LinkedIn to notify you about certain products or events. LinkedIn receives information about you when you visit the LinkedIn site, including Personal Information that they can use to identify you. We do not control LinkedIn, and LinkedIn’s use of your Personal Information is subject to LinkedIn’s privacy policy.

The services and links above are subject to change from time to time, sometimes without notice, at the discretion of the applicable service provider, and we do not represent or warrant that the links above are accurate or current. The descriptions of the service providers’ data privacy policies are subject in all respects to the current privacy policies of the service providers.  In the event of any inconsistency between the description of those policies and the terms in the service providers’ privacy policies, the terms of the service providers’ privacy policies control.  We do not control these providers or the use of the data that they obtain in connection with your use of the website or their sites. We also do not have access to, nor control over, these third parties’ use of cookies or other tracking technologies or how they may be used.  If you find that the links above do not work for you or are not current, please contact us through one of the means described at the end of this Privacy Policy.

California Do Not Track Disclosures

California imposes certain legal requirements regarding “Do Not Track” disclosures. The internet browsers that you use to visit our website may provide certain “Do Not Track” capabilities. Generally, browsers that have these features send a signal to web sites that inform the site operator that you do not wish for the site to track you.  We do not respond to these signals because there is not yet a common understanding of how to process these signals or a consensus on what “tracking” means.

Your Privacy Rights Under California’s “Shine the Light” Law

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section §§ 1798.83-84) permits users of this website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to or write us at: Vertos Medical Inc., 95 Enterprise, Suite 325, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656 Attn: Privacy. We do not knowingly collect or store any personal information from children except as permitted by applicable law. If you are a resident of California, under 18, and have posted content or information on our website or social media pages, you may ask us to remove content or information that you have posted by contacting us by email or postal mail at the addresses provided below. Your request, however, does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information, as we do not have control over our third party providers.
